Religious Leadership & Prayers

If the family would like to request a Muslim religious leader (Imam) to:

  • Lead the funeral prayer, and/or
  • Offer prayers at the burial,

please let us know in advance so arrangements can be made.

For Families & Guests of Other Faiths

  • We warmly welcome attendees of all faiths and backgrounds.
  • Visiting a mosque for the first time or unfamiliar with Islamic funeral practices? Our team is happy to explain everything and support you with care and respect.

Basic Mosque Etiquette

  • Modest clothing is requested (covered shoulders and legs).
  • Shoes are removed before entering the prayer area.
  • A quiet and respectful atmosphere is maintained.

About the Funeral Prayer

  • Usually held after a regular daily prayer, most commonly early afternoon, though timing may vary.
  • Performed standing only, with no kneeling or prostration.
  • A religious leader guides the congregation through the prayer.
